The city has launched a new initiative to encourage visitors to separate waste in local parks. This initiative aims to promote environmental awareness and sustainability among park-goers by providing clearly labeled bins for different types of waste, including recyclables and compostables.
According to the city council, this program will not only help reduce littering but also encourage a more eco-friendly attitude among residents. “We want to make it as easy as possible for people to do the right thing,” said Maria Johansson, the head of the city’s waste management department.
The bins will be placed at the entrances of all major parks throughout the city. The initiative is part of a larger citywide effort to improve waste management and recycling rates.
