Täby Couple Fights Winter Darkness with a Light Igloo

In the Swedish suburb of Täby, a local couple has found a creative solution to the long, dark winter nights. They’ve built a light igloo in their backyard, bringing a warm, glowing refuge to combat the seasonal gloom.

The couple, inspired by the artistic light installations found in urban environments, decided to create their own version to illuminate the dark winter days. Utilizing a combination of ice blocks and integrated LED lights, the igloo radiates a vibrant array of colors, transforming their backyard into a winter wonderland.

‘We wanted to create something beautiful that would lift our spirits during the darkest months of the year,’ says Anna, one of the builders. ‘It’s a space where we can gather with friends, enjoy a warm drink, and forget about the frigid temperatures outside.’

The light igloo has become a local attraction, with neighbors stopping by to admire the shimmering structure. Its construction has been a form of light therapy for the couple, and the surrounding community has also felt its uplifting effects.

As the winter progresses, the igloo continues to draw attention, serving as a unique beacon of creativity and resilience against the inevitable darkness of the season.
