On Saturday evening, the Catholic Church in Fittja was subjected to an arson attack. The police received reports of the fire shortly before 10 PM local time. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered heavy smoke and flames devastating the interior of the church.
According to local authorities, there were no injuries reported. However, the church sustained significant damage. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation, though initial reports suggest it may have been deliberately set. Local congregants expressed shock and sadness over the incident.
