A new support residence in Tyresö is set to help more local residents manage life with mental disabilities. The facility is part of an initiative to provide individuals with necessary support services close to home, minimizing the need to travel long distances for help.
The plan for the support housing was presented by local council representatives who emphasize the importance of accessible services within the community. The center aims to offer not only accommodation but also counseling and daily living support.
“It’s important that our residents feel part of the community and have the support they need right here in Tyresö,” said a spokesperson for the council.
The facility is expected to open its doors by next year, and it will accommodate a number of individuals with varying levels of need.
Local residents and stakeholders have been involved in planning to ensure that the services provided will meet the community’s needs.
