A garage located in the Handen neighborhood of Haninge municipality, south of Stockholm, caught fire on Thursday afternoon. The alarm reached emergency services at around half past six in the evening, at which point firefighters, ambulances, and police patrols were immediately dispatched to the scene.
According to operations chief Ilham Demir, the fire produced a significant amount of smoke, although response teams managed to extinguish the flames relatively quickly. “There is an intense emission of smoke, but they have now managed to bring the fire under control,” Demir stated.
No casualties have been reported so far, and the cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Emergency services remained on site to ensure the fire was completely extinguished.
