Stockholm police authorities are investigating a suspected shooting that took place in the residential area of Hässelby Villastad, in the northwest of the Swedish capital. The alert came after a witness contacted police to report the incident.
According to police spokesperson Carina Skagerlind, the person who raised the alarm claims to have heard several bangs and seen someone carrying an object that could have been a weapon. Authorities are currently working to verify the facts and determine whether a shot was actually fired in the area.
Police are on the scene gathering further information and have not yet confirmed whether there are any injured persons or arrests connected to the incident.
