A ground fire covering approximately 3,000 square meters has broken out in the Paradiset nature reserve, located in the municipality of Huddinge, south of Stockholm. According to information available at the time of publication, firefighting efforts had not yet begun.
Per Tillander, duty officer with the rescue service, did not conceal the scale of the challenge ahead: “This is going to take many hours to extinguish,” he said, underscoring the complexity of the operation in a natural area that is difficult to access.
Authorities are closely monitoring the fire’s progression in this protected area, where dense vegetation is making the work of emergency teams considerably more difficult.
