A fire broke out in the early hours of Thursday at the Rosersberg recycling station, located in the municipality of Sigtuna, affecting the facility’s waste storage area. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene to tackle the flames, which started among the materials accumulated at the collection point.
Josefin Lindblom, a command operator with the emergency services, confirmed that the situation was brought under control in a short time. “The fire is under control,” Lindblom stated. No casualties or significant damage beyond the affected waste materials were reported.
Local authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire at this recycling facility in the Stockholm region.
